VoxyAI is not responding to keyboard shortcut
Ensure VoxyAI has Accessibility permission in System Settings > Privacy & Security > Accessibility. You may need to remove and re-add VoxyAI from the list if you recently updated the app.
Speech is not being recognized
Check that VoxyAI has Microphone and Speech Recognition permissions in System Settings > Privacy & Security. Try speaking closer to your microphone and ensure your microphone is working in other apps.
Text is not being pasted
VoxyAI needs Accessibility permission to paste text. Grant this in System Settings > Privacy & Security > Accessibility. Make sure your cursor is in a text field before using VoxyAI.
API errors with cloud providers
Verify your API key is correct and has sufficient credits. Check your internet connection. Some providers may have rate limits or regional restrictions.
Ollama is not connecting
Ensure Ollama is running (check for the llama icon in your menu bar). Verify you have at least one model installed by running "ollama list" in Terminal. VoxyAI connects to Ollama on localhost:11434.
License activation failed
Check your internet connection and try again. Ensure you are entering the license key exactly as provided. If the problem persists, contact support with your order confirmation.

Does VoxyAI work offline?
Yes! VoxyAI works offline when using Apple Intelligence (macOS 26+) or Ollama for AI processing. Cloud providers require an internet connection.
Which AI provider should I use?
For privacy, use Apple Intelligence or Ollama (both run locally). For best quality, Anthropic Claude or OpenAI GPT-4o are recommended. For speed, try Groq.
Can I use my own API keys?
Yes, VoxyAI uses your own API keys for cloud providers. This gives you full control over costs and usage. API keys are stored securely in macOS Keychain.
How do I transfer my license to a new Mac?
Simply install VoxyAI on your new Mac and enter your license key. Your license allows activation on up to 3 devices.
Is my voice data stored anywhere?
No. Voice audio is processed in real-time and immediately discarded. VoxyAI does not store any voice recordings. See our Privacy Policy for details.
